a Day Hike Organized by PAC Mountaineers Members Miguel, Al and Arnel.
This is the First time i'll do a Dayhike, and another first with friends i've met a year ago in Tarak Ridge, Mariveles
the Team Organized the meet up at Calamba Crossing at 6:00 am, so i travelled early, about 4:00 am from my House and arrived to Victory Liner Bus station at 4:40 am, At the back of Victory Liner Bust station Look for HM Bus Liner bound to Sta.Cruz, Laguna, the Fare would be P89.00 (as of July 28, 2013) for Calamba Crossing.
I arrived at Calamba Crossing at about 5:50 am and decided to eat a breakfast in Jollibee while waiting. Pac Mountaineers arrived about 6:15 am. A Group of 4 will be a fast-paced group :). we took a Jeep bound to Sta. Cruz, Laguna and Ride down at Victoria Junction the fare would be P30.00 (Victoria Junction has a Landmark of Giant Replicas of Mallard or Itik). and take a Tricycle (P60.00 / 4 passengers) going to Brgy. Lamot 2 hall for registration. there's no Registration fee when we climbed. we take another Tricycle to the jump-off (P60.00 / 4 passengers).
The Guide, our guide is Mang Bino the No.1 guide for Kalisungan, didn't show up at jump-off because of communication problems, we've meet him about 15 minutes after we've started to ascent.
The Mountain and Trail Itself. just to make it short and not to spoil the fun of discovering Mt. Kalisungan i wanna do it in phrases.

WHAT TO EXPECT: (Tagalog Mode)
***kung maulan i-expect na nating maging maputik ang trail, dagdagan pa na farm ito na dinadaanan ng mga kabayo, hindi maiiwasang malubog ang mga mamahalin niyong sapatos sa putik.
***malamok, kung mag shoshort magdala ng mosquito repellent, mas maganda yung idinidikit lang na may malakas na amoy, meron akong nabili nun sa National Bookstore di kasi maganda yung Off MosquiRep
***ang assault pa summit matalahib at matarik, pag inabutan ng tirik na araw dito kayo malulusaw na parang kandila, Water Water Water... kung pababa magandang magsuot ng Gloves pang hawak sa mga talahib pababa dahil talagang matarik...
***maraming Prutas, may saging, saging, at saging :) meron din namang lanzones at rambutan.
***puro pa akyat, minsan ka lang bibiyayaan ng patag, lasapin mo na.
***Payong o Raincoat lalo nat tag ulan. (prefer ko yung payong, mainit kasi yung raincoat)
***nakakaligaw na mga sang sangang trail, wag mo na ipilit na hindi ka mag ga guide, nakakaligaw talaga kasi nga farm sya.
***madali sya kung medyo maulan, ewan ko lang kung tirik ang araw...
***wala na yung White Cross sa Summit
***pag nakita niyo na yung talahiban part 15-20 minutes nasa summit na kayo, at yung talahiban na yun, yun ang pinaka challenge ng kalisungan
***wag balasubasin/balahurain yung Ligo-an sa baba, yung napakagandang bahay sa kung saan kayo mag wawash up.
***wag niyo nang baratin yung Guide na si Mang Bino, Worth it yung ibibigay niyo :)
